Brenda will read the transition we ‘re looking at and give a quotation mark here and at that place to assist me out as we make more finds in God ‘s Word. I hope that you ‘ll be able to remain around for the following few proceedingss. Brenda!

Darmstadtium

That starts with these words –

“ Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no problem for me to compose the same things to you once more, and it is a precaution for you. Watch out for those Canis familiariss, those work forces who do evil, those maimers of the flesh. For it is we who are the Circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glorification in Christ Jesus, and who put no assurance in the flesh- though I myself have grounds for such assurance. If anyone else thinks he has grounds to set assurance in the flesh, I have more ” :

BC

Then Paul goes on to state:

“ Circumcised on the 8th twenty-four hours, of the people of Israel, of the folk of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews ; in respect to the jurisprudence, a Pharisee ; as for ardor, oppressing the church ; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless. But whatever was to my net income I now consider loss for the interest of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the exceling illustriousness of cognizing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose interest I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may derive Christ and be found in him, non holding a righteousness of my ain that comes from the jurisprudence, but that which is through religion in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by religion.

Darmstadtium

I want to cognize Christ and the power of his Resurrection and the family of sharing in his agonies, going like him in his decease, and so, someway, to achieve to the Resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take clasp of that for which Christ Jesus took clasp of me.

Brothers, I do non see myself yet to hold taken clasp of it. But one thing I do: bury what is behind and striving towards what is in front, I press on towards the end to win the award for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus.

BC

All of us who are mature should take such a position of things. And if on some point you think otherwise, that excessively god will do clear to you. Merely allow us populate up to what we have already attained. Join with others in following my illustration, brothers, and take note of those who live harmonizing to the form we gave you.

Darmstadtium

For, as I have frequently told you before and now say once more even with cryings, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their fate is devastation, their God is their tummy, and their glorification is in their shame. Their head is on earthly things.

BC

Paul finishes the subdivision by stating: But our citizenship is in Eden. And we thirstily await a Jesus from at that place, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to convey everything under his control, will transform our humble organic structures so that they will be like his glorious organic structure. ”

Darmstadtium

You ‘re likely familiar with good-news bad-news gags. Here ‘s a sample.

A husbandman ‘s lone Equus caballus ran off – that ‘s bad right? No, it ‘s good. The following forenoon it returned conveying three wild Equus caballuss with it. That ‘s good – no that ‘s bad. The husbandmans son tested siting it, fell away and broke his leg. That ‘s bad – no that ‘s good. The following twenty-four hours a soldier came to outline immature work forces into the ground forces but left the male child because of his leg. That ‘s good so? – non, it ‘s bad. The soldier had a virus and the boy got ill. That ‘s bad – no it ‘s good. He met a nurse, fell in love and got married. That ‘s good so – no it ‘s bad because she looked like the dorsum of a coach. That ‘s bad – no it ‘s good. She was despairing to get married and had a secret luck. So that ‘s good – no, it ‘s bad. She was a control monster and would n’t give him any money. That ‘s bad so, no it ‘s good. She bought him a large house, autos and retainers. That ‘s good so. No, it ‘s bad. The house burnt down. That ‘s bad, no it ‘s good because she was in it and he was her exclusive inheritor.

Have you noticed that life is like that old gag? Every event in life is filled with good and bad intelligence. We have a zag zig experience sometimes with more zag than zig.

Paul the author of Philippians had experienced this sort of thing. He was under apprehension expecting test in Rome. That ‘s bad – no it was good because it gave Paul the chance to make an elect group of Roman soldiers with the Gospel. He ‘s non certain whether he will populate or decease. That ‘s bad – no – really it ‘s good. If he lives he will function the Church more. If he dies he will travel to be with Christ which is far better.

Paul begins chapter 3 by stating “ Finally ” – and so we realise that he ‘s merely half manner through the epistle. Preachers frequently say, “ in conclusion ” and so last!

Possibly Paul did intend to complete but received some intelligence that meant he needed to state something more. More likely the sense of his words means that what he wants to now compose is above all, this is the chief word.

BC

Everything Paul has said and will state is summed up in these words: “ My brothers, rejoice in the Godhead! ”

Darmstadtium

And this is n’t optional. Strong Christians are strong because they enjoy the Lord. We may object, “ Well, I do n’t experience like joying. ” The Christian life is non driven by feelings but by religion. You do n’t hold to experience something before you obey.

The shortest poetry in the Bible is n’t “ Jesus wept. ” It ‘s found in 1 Thessalonians 5:16, “ Rejoice evermore ” – which is one Grecian word.

God ‘s Word commands us to joy, whether we feel like it or non! Christians should ne’er give the feeling that people could trip over their bottom lip.

You may hold problem but it should ne’er consequence you so much that it takes off the sense of populating hope in Jesus. The best definition of HOPE that I have come across is H. O. P. E. – HAVING ONLY POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS – and that ‘s what we have because of Christ.

Suppose decease intrudes on our lives as it necessarily does – we grieve but non as those without hope because of our confidence of Eden. We can joy in that. Suppose the universe is against us – or at least it feels that manner. We know that God is ever for us – and we can joy in that.

So your partner has forgotten your nuptials anniversary – good retrieve it ‘s theirs every bit good! Okay, they forgot – that ‘s a shame – but rejoice in the fact that God ne’er forgets us and knows our demands through and through.

Lest anyone is inclined to oppugn this – believe about how the Church started there in Philippi.

BC

Paul and his comrades travelled throughout the part – They were kept by the Holy Spirit from prophesying the Word in one part. They came to another country, but the Spirit of Jesus would non let them entry. Finally, they got to Philippi. The first convert in at the gate-way to Europe was a lady called Lydia, a concern lady. A slave miss with a fortune-telling ability was the following – which did n’t delight here proprietors. Paul and Silas were attacked, badly flogged and thrown in prison, and the prison guard was commanded to guard them carefully. He put them in the inner cell and fastened their pess in the stocks – a crude signifier of anguish.

Darmstadtium

Can you joy in such fortunes? Paul and Silas did. If you know the narrative – there was an temblor – all the prison doors flew unfastened, and everybody ‘ ironss came free. The prison guard was merely about to kill himself – better a speedy decease at his ain custodies that what the governments might make to him. And Paul stops him and leads him to the Saviour.

My point is they were joying in the Lord despite the tough times. ‘Joy ‘ is at the bosom of who God is. ‘Joy ‘ is of unbelievable importance to God.

The great mind and author G. K. Chesterton has some fantastic words about this. He states that the joy you see in a small kid detecting something is but a fraction of the joy we can hold in our Lord. Brenda will give you his thoughtful words –

BC

“ Because kids have a bounding verve, because they are in spirit fierce and free, hence they want things repeated and unchanged. They ever say, “ Do it once more. ” And the grown-up individual does it once more until he is about dead, for grown up people are non strong plenty to walk on air in humdrum. But possibly God is strong plenty to walk on air in humdrum.

It is possible that God says every forenoon, “ Do it once more! ” to the Sun, and every eventide, “ Do it once more! ” to the Moon. It may non be automatic necessity that makes all daisies likewise.

It may be that God makes every daisy individually, but has ne’er got tired of doing them. It may be that he has the ageless appetency of babyhood. For we have sinned and grown old, and our male parent is younger than we. ”

Darmstadtium

Is n’t that fabulous? We get jaded, tired, disquieted, annoyed and rushed.

Imagine ‘Genesis ‘ if God was merely similar us:

“ In the beginning, it was nine o’clock, so God had to travel to work. He filled out a requisition to divide visible radiation from darkness. He considered doing stars to fancify the dark and planets to make full the skies, but thought it sounded like excessively much work, and “ besides, ” thought God, “ That ‘s non my occupation. ”

So he decided to strike hard off early and name it a twenty-four hours. And he looked at all he had done and said: ‘It ‘ll hold to make ‘ .

On the 2nd twenty-four hours, God separated the Waterss from the dry land, and He made all the dry land level, field and functional so that behold the whole Earth looked level. He thought about doing mountains and vales and glaciers and jungles and woods, but decided it would n’t be worth the attempt. And God looked at what he had done that twenty-four hours and God said: ‘It ‘ll hold to make ‘ .

And God made a pigeon to wing in the air, and a carp to swim in the Waterss, and a cat to crawl upon the dry land. And God thought about doing 1000000s of other species of all sizes and forms and colorss, but he could n’t beat up plenty enthusiasm for any other animate beings. In fact, He was n’t excessively brainsick about the cat! So, God looked at all that he had done, and God said: ‘It ‘ll hold to make ‘ .

And at the terminal of the hebdomad, God was earnestly burnt out, so he breathed a large suspiration of alleviation and said, ‘Thank me, it ‘s Friday! ‘

Genesis looks nil like that. It throbs out the line: “ It ‘s good – it ‘s good. ” And so it has gone every twenty-four hours from that twenty-four hours to this twenty-four hours – but non with us. “ We have sinned and grown old, and our male parent is younger than we. ”

We suffer from a disease called “ Taking it for granted. ” Do you gain that God has ne’er taken anything for granted? You will non understand God until you realise that He is the happiest being in the existence. God knows sorrow but it is a impermanent response to a fallen universe. God has declinations over what has happened to planet earth – but He knows what He has planned for the hereafter.

BC

Jesus spoke like this: “ That my joy might be in you, and your joy might be filled up to the top. ”

Darmstadtium

You know – That clarifies the sort of individual Jesus was. You do n’t state that to people who know you best if you are unsmiling.

Make you cognize the kids ‘s narrative ‘s about Winnie The Pooh? If you are ‘Eeyore ‘ the donkey – good – you do n’t hold much positive to state. But you were made for joy.

BC

C. S Lewis tells us that “ Joy is the serious concern of Eden. ”

Darmstadtium

And why? Because God is the happiest being in the existence.

So, Paul put it like this, “ Rejoice in the Lord ever. Again I say rejoice. ” I ca n’t do myself be joyful – it ‘s a byproduct of my relationship with Him.

BC

Psalm 16:11 says: “ You will make full me with joy in your presence. ”

Darmstadtium

You ca n’t experience your manner into blessing but you can frequently bless your manner into approvals. But – one of the biggest dangers is to acquire our eyes off the Lord and the approvals that we have in and through Him. This is why Paul now says, “ It is no problem for me to compose the same things to you once more, and it is a precaution for you. ”

If a sermonizer says a thing twice it ‘s normally for one of 3 grounds.

One: He forgot what he was stating.

Two: He has more clip left than message.

Or three: He is seeking to underscore something.

Most sermonizers are embarrassed with reiterating themselves. However, there are some things that need to be said once more and once more.

I like the manner Admiral Sir Ray Lygo put it. He said: “ I know you believe you understand what you think I said. But I ‘m non certain you realise that what you heard is non what I meant. ”

BC

Hitler said that if you repeat a prevarication frequently adequate people will believe it is true!

Darmstadtium

And he surely followed through on that principle.

Now – Paul wants us to “ Rejoice in the Godhead! ” So, he starts by seting some warning marks up – things that we need to avoid – they will take us off from joying in Him, they will go forth us joyless.

The first is: “ Watch out for those Canis familiariss. ” In England we may see that on a front gate. It ought to be inside every church. Paul is utilizing really strong linguistic communication here. There are people writhing the Gospel to do it intend something it is n’t – that must n’t be allowed to go on.

Everywhere Paul went he was dogged by work forces learning that after you ‘ve been converted you need to be circumcised. Dogs are pets to us in England but we know that ‘s non the instance in many states – peculiarly the Middle East in the yearss of Paul. They were frequently scavengers. Jews called Gentiles ‘dogs ‘ . Paul is turning the phrase back on themselves. Why? Because they are “ those work forces who do evil, those maimers of the flesh. ” What a phrase to utilize for your fellow trusters.

Paul is really utilizing a wordplay. January 1 was commanded for a Judaic male and it was valid. It was a small mark that spoke through Judaic history of the Messiah coming from that king of beasts. Furthermore, that He would come under the Judaic jurisprudence and maintain it but take the punishment as if He had broken it, so that when we identify with Him we can hold a hereafter. Mutilation was emasculation and it was forbidden to the Jews. Paul ‘s graphic linguistic communication is stating that there are people who have let the knife faux pas and damaged themselves and others.

Paul says this because since Christ these things have ceased to be physical and have become religious. Even in the Old Testament Circumcision was an inward thing non merely an outward badge to have on. In the New Testament the physical act is finished because the One that it was talking of ( Christ ) has come. From now on Circumcision is a bosom that loves God. Therefore “ it is we who are the Circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God. ” The physical thing was an outward symbol of this religious relationship. We do n’t tout, “ I am circumcised. ” We “ glorification in Christ Jesus and put no assurance in the flesh. ”

There is a topographic point for touting in the Christian life. Boasting that we ‘re proud of the Gospel, for illustration. But non touting in our ego. And you know – the better you are by nature, the more assurance you can set in the flesh. Peoples who are genuinely circumcised hold cut out all of that.

Now – to do everything clear Paul gives his ain testimony.

In a nutshell he stating: “ You get to heaven by the lift, non the stepss. ” The position of being in the right with God is given to you through religion in Christ and so you need to populate out the province.

Paul can state: “ If anyone else thinks he has grounds to set assurance in the flesh, I have more. ”

He had 7 things really few people have had. He was born with 4 and acquired the other 3.

BC

“ Circumcised on the 8th twenty-four hours ” –

Darmstadtium

that made him a true Jew.

BC

“ Of the people of Israel ” –

Darmstadtium

hence having God ‘s jurisprudence.

BC

“ Of the folk of Benjamin ” –

Darmstadtium

this was the elect folk. They had a stating in conflict, “ After you Benjamin. ”

BC

“ A Hebrew of Hebrews ” –

Darmstadtium

Paul knew the linguistic communication, many did n’t.

On this foundation Paul built 3 things.

BC

“ In respect to the jurisprudence, a Pharisee ” –

Darmstadtium

This was the strictest spiritual group, and he belonged to it.

BC

“ As for ardor, oppressing the church ” –

Darmstadtium

but unfeignedly so, you can make many things unfeignedly but it can still be unfeignedly incorrect!

BC

“ As for legalistic righteousness, faultless. ”

Darmstadtium

A adult female said, “ I do n’t desire to boast but I ‘ve kept every one of my New Year declarations. Yes I ‘ve kept every 1. ” And so she added, “ I ‘ve kept them in an envelope on my desk. ” Paul kept them twenty-four hours after twenty-four hours, twelvemonth after twelvemonth in his life!

If person had asked: “ Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is most righteous of them all? ” top of the list would hold been Paul.

If any one could hold assurance that they had the province of being right with God it was Paul. He was a charter member of the M.I.T.T.T. CLUB – The MADE IT TO THE TOP Club!

There came a twenty-four hours on the Damascus route when he discarded all of that. Have you heard person say, “ You know, that individual is so good, would n’t they do a fantastic Christian. ” The reply is “ No! ” – They must throw away all self trust. God says, “ I need flawlessness and you have n’t got it. I ‘m offering it to you if you will trash your ain attempts at righteousness. ”

One of the hardest lessons to larn is that my goodness is rubbish before a holy God.

5 words can acquire you to heaven:

ONLY JESUS AND JESUS ONLY.

BC

Paul writes:

“ Whatever was to my net income I now consider loss for the interest of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the exceling illustriousness of cognizing Christ Jesus as Lord, for whose interest I have lost all things. ”

Darmstadtium

Coming to Christ our position is changed before God. But we need assist with our province. If we ‘ve got the position, the response of gratitude is to hold the province. Christ died and rose once more and one twenty-four hours in the hereafter I will decease and lift once more and hold a new life.

Every enlightened Christian says: “ I want to ‘gain Christ and be found in him. I want to cognize Christ. ‘ ” I want to convey every bit much of what I will be and hold in infinity right into the hear and now. Some people say, “ Tell people good plants wo n’t acquire you to heaven and you take away the inducement to make them. Not so – we have the biggest inducement of all. We ‘re traveling to lift once more and be with our Lord – that cognition is incentive plenty to acquire ready for the meeting.

Paul does some stocktaking: “ Am I now populating the life that I will populate in Eden? Am I praising as I will so? Am I functioning as I will so? Am I as perfect now as I will be when I meet Him face to confront? ” And the great apostle Paul says: “ No, but I ‘m after it! I want ‘somehow to achieve to the Resurrection from the dead. Not that I have obtained all this, or have already been made perfect. ‘ ”

This should be true for each one of us. I have n’t arrived but I ‘m still going.

BC

This old supplication should be ours:

“ Lord, do me every bit sanctum as it is possible for a pardoned evildoer to be. ”

Darmstadtium

You know – If person pinched your bag or billfold you might trail after them. That ‘s Paul ‘s word: “ Once I chased Christians but now I chase Christ. ” Conversion does n’t alter your disposition it re-directs it.

Near Philippi was a big sports bowl – taking this as his waiting line Paul says, “ I press on to take clasp of that for which Christ Jesus took clasp of me. ”

Stretching every musculus, Paul says, “ I have a end to win the award for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus. ‘ ”

He is non seeking to be good. He ‘s after Christ.

In the film City Slicker, Billy Crystal plays a concern type holding a mid-life crisis. He persuades some friends to fall in him on a cattle thrust. The usher is nick-named ‘Curly ‘ . In one scene Curly indicates that he knows life ‘s secret – but he does n’t state them. He makes it clear that they must detect it for themselves.

Paul discovered the secret. It was “ one thing ” . He forgets what is behind – shows a complete neglect for it because he needs to travel frontward.

There ‘s a kids ‘s plaything called Foogy Bird. It flies backwards non forwards. The label tells you that the birds slogan is:

“ I do n’t care where I ‘m traveling ;

I merely want to see where I ‘ve been. ”

The failures and successes of the yesteryear can suppress you. Forget your failures. There ‘s nil more crippling than to remain focussed upon them. All of us have failures. Having asked for forgiveness it ‘s clip to travel on. Great jocks have short memories. They fail – it ‘s all portion of preparation development. Great athletes learn from the failure instead than acquire spoiled by it.

Henry Ford was right:

“ Failure is an chance to get down once more, more intelligently. ”

We must besides bury our success. If we start retrieving them we rest on our

Laurels. Like Samson we ‘ll believe that we can travel out against our enemies as we ‘ve done in the yesteryear and non gain that God is n’t with us in that manner.

Any jock who keeps looking back will lose. The focal point has to be on the winning line.

BC

There ‘s a vocal with the line –

“ Time slips off,

And leaves you with nil but,

Boring narratives of glorification yearss. ”

Darmstadtium

Many people zero in on “ the good old yearss ” – most of them were n’t all that good really. God ne’er confer with your yesteryear to find your hereafter.

While heaven is certain for all Christians – there is a award for services rendered since we believed. So Paul says: “ All of us who are mature should take such a position of things. ”

To populate ‘Christianly ‘ we will believe otherwise. We want to “ populate up to what we have already attained ” and travel for deepness.

Do you desire to travel on and up? Here are some helpful tips.

Take note of people you see making this and copy them. Paul dares to claim to be one of them, “ Join with others in following my illustration, brothers, and take note of those who live harmonizing to the form we gave you. ” I would state, take a expression at older trusters – see how they ‘re populating the Christian life and utilize it as a templet every bit good as inducement.

How we refer to age is a amusing thing:

The 7 old ages old will state that they ‘re 71/2. Ever had a 36 twelvemonth old Tell you that they ‘re 361/2? Adolescents will state about 16. You become 21. You turn 30 ( sounds like rancid milk does n’t it? ) You ‘re forcing 40. You reach 50. You make it to 60. You hit 70. ‘ In your 90 ‘s you change to the kid looks once more – Merely 93, Reaching 100 – and like the kid “ I ‘m 1001/2.

We frequently connect adulthood to middle age. However, the hazard of in-between age is that we can ease up. We lose the ardor that we one time had. I would state, “ Mark those older Christians still pressing on to cognize Christ. ”

Let me inquire you 2 inquiries:

One: Whom are you following?

And two: Who is following you? Person is! We are a theoretical account for some people. Let ‘s be the best theoretical account that we could of all time be.

Why does Paul compose like this?

Because there were bad illustrations in the church. He starts seting up the warning labels right here. We live in a twenty-four hours when warnings on merchandises have gone to the extreme.

Let me give you some echt illustrations – stupe? – yes, but genuine.

For illustration:

“ Do non try to halt the blade with your manus. ” That was in a manual for a concatenation proverb! Honest!

What about this 1:

“ For usage by trained forces merely. ” That was on a can of air-freshener!

And here ‘s another:

“ May be harmful if swallowed. ” That was the label on a cock!

Okay – I know that some people are n’t the sharpest knife in the drawer but are we all dumber than a bowl of porridge? Apparently.

Paul ‘s warnings are serious and non at all extreme. Paul spoke, “ even with cryings. ” Is he over-reacting? No – because “ many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. ”

They said: “ it does n’t count if you play the sap. You can ever come back and acquire forgiveness. ”

Visit the English Lake District and you may detect the lovely country of Hell-velen and peculiarly “ Striding Edge. ” There ‘s a way you can walk which drops off either side. It pictures for me what Paul is seeking to acquire at here. The Christian life is a striding border between legalism and license.

Fall into license believing anything goes and you ‘ll go an “ enemy of the cross. ” Jesus did n’t decease to give us a clean check to make whatever we want but whatever He wants.

For some profession Christians, “ their fate is devastation, their God is their tummy, and their glorification is their shame. ”

Their first aspiration is nutrient, slumber, sex or money. It ‘s all focused on ego. Rather than boast they should be ashamed. We are to be different. Not “ enemies of the cross ” with our heads tied down to the things of our ego. We are to be illustrations because “ our citizenship is in Eden. ”

Remember Philippi was a Roman settlement. Therefore the manners were Roman.

BC

They have been described as “ Rome on vacation. ”

Darmstadtium

Sometime you can pass clip in a topographic point and it reminds you of another topographic point because it ‘s been modelled or influenced by it.

You know, a Church should do people experience, “ this is what Eden will be like. No bickers, no green-eyed monster, no restlessness, no chitchat – it ‘s merely great. It ‘s heavenly. ”

BC

You ‘re listening to Word Alive produced by Good News Broadcasting Association with Dr Derek Stringer as our communicator. And we ‘re researching this unbelievable missive of Paul to the Philippians chapter 3.

We love hearing from you and it ‘s a beginning of encouragement to us – so make delight believe about directing us an electronic mail, or picking up the phone and naming our free figure – or even composing us a missive.

I ‘ll give those inside informations to you in merely a minute – but back to Derek Stringer to round-up what we ‘re seeing.

Darmstadtium

Here ‘s a verse form that has amused and spoken to me. I think it ‘ll assist us to acquire the point we need to maintain from Paul.

“ There came a giant to my door, a elephantine large and strong.

His weaponries were 30 inches midst,

His legs were 12 paces long.

He scowled, he frowned, he shook the land,

I trembled through and through.

And so I looked him in the face, and said, ‘who cares for you? ‘

And he hit me! ”

Sometimes life is like that. Whatever we do confident it will work for the better and it does n’t.

And listen to this:

“ Person said it could n’t be done, but he with a chortle replied,

‘Maybe it could n’t, but I ‘m one,

Who ‘ll ne’er state ‘No! ‘ ’til I ‘ve tried. ‘

So he buckled right in, with a hint of a smile on his face,

If he worried he hid it.

And he tackled the thing that could n’t be done,

And he could n’t make it. ”

Life is difficult and we have the bravery but still acquire hit! We persevere but still neglect.

But we ca n’t give up, park the auto and walk off. We have a heavenward fate. Do n’t populate a life merely at the degree of the earthly organic structure.

A small male child was watching the readyings for a carnival. A neighbor said to him, “ Are you traveling to be at it? ” “ At it? ” he said, “ I ‘m traveling to be in it! ”

One twenty-four hours what we “ thirstily await ” will go on.

Jesus “ will transform our humble organic structures so that they will be like his glorious organic structure. ” Do n’t you want to convey frontward to the now as much of that as you can? Forget the things that are behind. Travel hard after cognizing Christ. You have the position, travel for the province. That ‘ the manner to cognize a joy which wo n’t acquire old.

Darmstadtium

Thankss once more Brenda and here as promised is something to reflect upon –

I want to inquire you if you know Christ?

I do n’t desire to cognize if you know about Christ.

Is your life filled with a devouring desire to be with God, to idolize God and serve him with all your bosom?

What is it that gives your life value and significance and aim?

Let ‘s compare all those things with cognizing Jesus, truly cognizing him.

Knowing his presence and peace in times of trouble.

Knowing his power to defy enticement and to transform our lives.

Knowing the security of a love that sets no bounds and no demands.

BC

Knowing the love of a Saviour who would give up his life merely to hold a relationship with you.

Darmstadtium

I hope that you ‘ll be fall ining us for the following edition of Word Alive. I ‘m Derek Stringer –

BC

And I ‘m Brenda Critchley – God bless you.
