Investigation: I’m trying to find out that how does being subcontractors to Apple company benefit from industrialization so from this question I will talk about how Apple worked with his subcontractor or his contactor the ones that make the products for him. I will found out that is the subcontractors are happy with the contract that they have made or they don’t agree the laws and the main thing that I should find out about is how did it really benefit from industrialization and that is the easiest part because it’s obvious how the get their benefits they pay less and they a good product.

You might ask yourself how are they going to pay less and get product so Apple doesn’t have his own factory to make his own products so he has contract with Foxconn, Apple give Foxconn the design of his products and Foxconn make that product in china’s factory with a cheap price because workers in china don’t get lots of wages most of the factory owners don’t pay their workers enough wages so that why big company such as Apple pay lower price but they get a good product and how they get benefits from that ?

They pay lower price to make them but they sell their products so much more expensive than they just pay to make that product so that’s how they get benefits. They way I’m going to carry out my investigation is by the sources: Type of source that I’m going to use: * Internet: use websites such as google. com or Wikipedia. com and take notes from them like compare how the subcontractor’s benefits like 200 years ago with now. * Interviewing people: I’ll ask some people that will know about industrialization

Then put all the notes together and put them in order, make sure they are accurate and they are not biased, and if even if they are biased I can give my own opinion on them and complete. And now I have to know how should I carry out my investigation, so I’m supposed to record my data by: * Get the data from asking people questions (the question must related to your research question), make sure that what they are true and prove it by bringing up some evidences. (You can do this by searching in Internet). I have to make sure that the data I collect from anywhere it’s should be accurate. I can do this by bringing up evidences for each topic that I will talk about it in my investigation. * I can interview a person who was working in as a subcontractor in any other companies so they will tell me about subcontracting so he will give me some information about what benefits he got from the industrialization, but I have to make sure if he/she is telling the truth.

I can do this by asking him to give me some evidences. After I collected my data and I make sure they are accurate I will put my data in a spreadsheet and make table from it for e. g. how much the company pays to the subcontractor, do the company accept what subcontractor tell them to do or they want them to change the rules in the contract. E. g. Apple have a contract with Foxconn Apple is the one put the laws in the contract so does Foxconn accept those rules? Or do they want to change the rules? Most of the time the accept the rules First of all we have to know who are the subcontractors and what is their job.

A sub-contractor is a party, which agrees to perform part or all of the obligations of another party (main contractor) under a separate contract (master contract) with the ultimate employer (employer). * The sub-contractor will usually be engaged by a main contractor to perform a specific task as part of the master contract. Did you think of why big company have subcontractor? Apple doesn’t have any factory to make his own products so he gives his designs of his products so company call Foxconn. Foxconn, Apple’s Chinese subcontractor that manufactures the world’s iPhones and iPads, is no stranger to scandal.

It has been charged with inhumane working conditions and suffered strikes during major product launches. So now Foxconn and Apple have contract between them, so Apple arrange the laws in the contract and Foxconn should follow those rules or he will get in trouble and he might need to pay more money to Apple some of the rules are Foxconn will get the design fro m Apple company and he have to make them in china’s factory they can’t make the same products from Apple’s design and sell it with out Apple giving them permission.

So as you know Apple’s products are expensive but Apple doesn’t cost that much money to make his products he pays Foxconn so much lesser than he sells his products. So what benefits do they get now from industrialization? So Apple makes his products in a good quality but spend too much money on them because he gives his designs to Foxconn and Foxconn has sweatshops in china they don’t give enough wages to the workers because they are poor people. The benefits that they Apple get’s from industrialization are: The industrial Revolution had positive long-term effects in every country that has switched to machines. * First because more good were being made they became cheaper * High supply=low price * The new jobs gave people an opportunity to improve the social standing. * People had social mobility. * The competition created by industrialization-forced people to think of new and better ways to do things. * Competition will always result in innovation.

So Apple might not get all the benefits from above but he gets the main ones like he pays low price and get a product with a good quality. Apple makes new products everyday and people say we have to get that product because it might help us with our life or maybe they just feel greedy about it and they just one to have that new product and as you know these days most of the companies such as Apple, Samsung or blackberry they want their products to sell more in the markets and people buy them first but most of the Apple won the competition.

Because he made better products than any other companies, even that Apple’s product might be much more expensive than other companies people still buy them only because it’s new, it’s easy to work with it etc. If people knew Apple make these products in much lower piece and the people who make these products don’t get a really good wages or they don’t have a good work condition, would the still buy those products? Yes they will buy them because they are just too greedy.

In conclusion, I understand that most of the big companies such as Apple they earn money by not paying enough money to the workers, but they make good products for them and they sell it with a really high price and people just but all those products, and also I understood that big companies don’t have their own factory to make their own products so that’s why they make a contact with other companies who has factories in countries that workers don’t get enough wages but they make a good product.

Also those companies that have factory might not be able to do all the works that those big companies order them so they will make a subcontract with a smaller factory so they will do a part of their work.
