HRM Application

Dear Admissions,

Kindly receive my application for Human Resource Management (HRM) in your university. This application essay illustrates my preparedness to tackle academic loads and challenges contained in the program. I am a self confident person accustomed in setting firm goals, which I do not rest until they are achieved. Postgraduate education in human resources is one of my lifetime goals that I am now starting to pursue. The program at your University is to me the best place to enroll given its demanding nature of academic load, which has continued to produce high quality HRM professionals. The highly knowledgeable and dedicated faculty has further attracted me to the program.

            As a holder of Bachelors of Education in Elementary Studies, I understand the foundations of human interaction in a group setting. My degree provides the much importance understanding of ways and means of building relationships between individuals. The program will surely help sharpen the already well-developed human relations skills. As a team oriented person, I intend to use these skills to improve interaction between my classmates as well as the larger university community. This will be among my contributions to a community that will be molding me to a highly effective human relation professional. My fellow students would also benefit from my contribution to the community.

            As an all-year athlete throughout college, I have come to learn the importance of setting goals and putting effort in achieving the same. Athletics have molded me into a goal-oriented individual who can deliver effectively when working independently when working in teams. I am therefore confident in dealing effectively with individual academic assignments, as well as collaborating with my fellow students. The determination to achieve goals cultivated in college will therefore go a long way in improving my ability to perform beyond my professors’ expectations. Influencing the same on my fellow students will further help them become highly effective HRM professionals.

My experience as team captain provides the proper background of collaboration with like-minded individuals. These leadership opportunities have provided me with opportunities of expanding my abilities of bringing the best out of people. Sharpening these skills at your university’s program, I will be in a better position to serve as a helpful HRM official. I intend to take up leadership positions at the university so I can improve the skills further, as well as helping fellow students develop similar skills by brining the best out of them. Leadership opportunities in various student groups have provided me with opportunities to improve organizational skills. This has helped me to develop abilities to focus on various issues and accomplish them effectively. I intend to develop this skill in your university’s HRM program, which will equip me with abilities do deal with diverse human resource concurrently, much to the benefit of my clients or my employers. In addition, to all the above preparations, I look forward to asking for clarifications on the many questions I have regarding HRM. These questions develop my wide reading of HRM literature. Though I get answers to some of the questions from further reading, there are still more that I feel professors are best placed at answering. I also look forward to sharing my curiosity with fellow students. Other than getting answers to my curiosity, the program will equip me with the necessary tools of making contribution to HRM literature.
