What do modern roman priests wear today

Modern priest wear anything they want today. Sport shirts, tanks, jeans, cut-offs, and dress slacks can all be part of a priest’s wardrobe. He has no clothing restrictions, at least off the job. If he is saying Mass, of course, there are the ritual “priest’s robes” and if he is serving in some religious capacity, such as a wake, he would wear a black suit and his “dog collar”. The same holds true if he is attending a religious function/meeting. However, this is for American priests, the European priests may have tighter restrictions on their clothing, especially in Rome and in the Vatican.
