What does hunters gathers mean

Prior to modern man; there were only two types of people: Hunters and Farmers (or “Gatherers”). Since the “Farmers” didn’t really “farm” since it was unknown, they “gathered” food such as berries, nuts, etc. After time…the “gatherers” began to grow their own…or BECOME FARMERS.Therefore, the term “hunter gatherer” is just short for “hunters and gatherers.” As usual, people just get lazy and don’t want to have to say all those words.
