No. The earth has three different motions around the sun. It spins like a top. That is called precession of the poles. Sometimes the North Pole is closer to the sun in winter. Sometimes it is closer to the sun in summer. Its Orbit changes from round to oblong and back to round. And it has a third motion. When all three motions reach a certain point, the world receives less sunlight and the northern hemisphere receives less sunlight in winter. It gets so cold that winter snow does not melt. The next ice age caused by motions of the earth around the sun is scheduled for 200,000 a.d.
