Aryans is the collective name for several people groupsliving in northern India and present-day Iran around 1500 BC. Theway of life of the various Aryan tribes differed, and some livedlargely in the same way as the Indus Valley people. Which is notsurprising as some Indo-Aryans actually were Indus Valleypeople.
But by and large you could say that the Indus Valley people weresettlers, farmers and artisans. Many of the Aryan peoples weresemi-nomadic herdsmen.
One trait to be found among nomadic tribes through the ages is thatthey are very territorial when it comes to what they consider as’their’ grazing grounds and they tend to easily start quarrels andfights with their neighboring tribes about them. So the Aryans wereconsidered as much more ‘warlike’ than the Indus Valley people.
