The Roman Empire fell in 410 AD and it fell because the Celtic tribes finally crossed the Italian Alps with enough power and strength to affect the government and over extend the army. If the Romans had been able to contain the tribes and kept them from crossing it may have lasted a bit longer, but the Empire was over extended, in debt and rotten from within so it wouldn’t have taken much for it to fall.
