I call it the First Persian War, but something tells me that Marathon may be the answer you seek. There was fighting elsewhere, but the battle on the Plain of Marathon in 490 BC was the only significant battle of the First Persian War, whereas the Second Persian War had three significant battles (Thermopylae, Salamis, Plataea). Ergo, Marathon and the First Persian War may be synonymous in some applications.
