Who fought with the Persian Empire against the greek states

The people of the Persian Empire provided the army and navy of theempire, including Egypt, Phoenicia and the Greek city-states ofIonia within the empire.

The Persians enlisted many of the Greek city-stated of mainlandGreece to their side – by bribery and threat. At the decisive landbattle of Plataia in 479 BCE, a third of the Persian army wasprovided by central Greek cities such as Thebes. Macedonia andThessaly also fought as an ally of the Persians.
