A mother holds great responsibility as when she decides to bring a child into the world. Not only this but a responsibility to raise them to be upright, well-adjusted individuals who will live well themselves and make the world a happier place. Children grow up as making their parents their role model; especially a mother plays an important part. They do what the mother teach them to do, thus she is the child’s most important teacher. No amount of preaching is going to make the child any different from his parents. He will model them whether they want him or not. The most important of all the aspects that a child observes are the habits that a mother contains. They will do what she normally does and would tend to grow the same way. In this scenario Freydia the mother who is about 27 years old, a women who got married somewhere around when she was in her 20s starts using crack cocaine for 4 years. She has 2 children i.e. a 7 year and a 9 year old child. Because of her bad habit of using crack cocaine the child protective service (who are responsible to monitor all those acts that harm the child either psychologically, mentally or physically. They are suppose to take all due actions in order to averse the harmful effects on them.) They are removed from their mother and are now living with their grandmother who is not addicted to any of such harmful habits.

The child protective service has taken this step because of the main fact that the addiction habit is most likely to be induced in the children. Both of the children of 7 and 9 of their age are at a stage when they are more prone towards learning from observation. Their analytical stance is at a higher rate at this stage. The effects of crack cocaine are very aversive and harmful. The person who gets into contact with the habit of crack cocaine is likely to die at a very early stage and develop habits of irresponsibility and aggression at a greater extend.

Not only are these the effect of crack cocaine but in long run analysis it would develop a sense of harshness and instability in the person who becomes addicted to it. In return all that the person addicted to such habit would provide to their children with a present where hatred would be their only wealth, a future where aggression would be their only source of living. Furthermore the two children would also develop a source of insecurity and would suffer depression as their mother Freydia would be suffering great mental and physical illness. Because of which she wouldn’t be able to provide responsibly any of the things necessary to her children. Frediya and her children are now separated by child protective service due to her own false addiction. Frediya is 27 years old and is addicted to crack cocaine for four years that is she must have started it when she was about23 years of her age, which means at that time her children would be of 3 and 5 years of their ages, the peak period when children start absorbing their environment. Because crack cocaine provides such mental illness her children would have been developed under aggression and irresponsibility. The children are now living with their grandmother. They may be content for a few weeks, months or so but no soul in the entire universe can fill the space of a mother. No one can fill if even to the least.

Though the grandmother is a sage that is very well experienced and could provide the best and the truest touch of experienced learning to those two children, but they would never be able to feel the warmth and affection that a single touch of mother could provide. As it may be observed that in the scenario the father is not present (maybe) he is dead  or has divorced the wife or whatever maybe the case the children may already be containing the feeling of abundances and unsupportiveness or one may call it an emptiness of some sort. The only thing that those children have felt and known in their life is their mother. But as she has turned up to something harmful to her children she herself should realize the fact that she has brought the situation herself-A situation where a fine departure or a barrier is created between her and her children.

While hypothesizing the entire scenario it is very evident and crystal clear that the mother is harmful to the children and the children’s moral are all in jeopardy. The step taken by the children protective services are quite sane: they have separated the mother and children so that the children might live up in an environment where they could live up to the desired standards and could maintain their moral values through a source inevitably secure, till then the mother may be put in effective therapy so that she may leave the habit of the addiction of crack cocaine. Though the abundances of such habit is very close to impossible as it requires allot of will power, but as she is a mother and such separation in which the reason is purely the mother herself she would have to really work out at her habit of such addiction in order to have her children back, and live in peace. As the scenario concludes that the mother is willing to have her children back, she must know the fact that the laws and the government would only allow her to have her two children back only on a conditions when she would restrain from having the crack cocaine forever. It has been four years that she is addicted to such habit but it’s never too late. If she really wants her children back she would try to move the heavens and earth to erase such menace from her life. The main goal that the child protective service have target is to halt the evils of this drug which is extremely deadly to the mother, children and the society at large.

Till the grandmother who is also the relative of those children luckily is kind enough to keep the children under her custody in order to save their future. Now all lies in the hands of the mother. The day the therapists give their words to the child protective service that the mother is no longer a drug addict and that she is all capable enough once again to provide her children with the best of the life’s moral, she’d be able to get back her children for sure. Now all depends on her to leave the habit in what span of time. Because being a mother having her own children living apart is none less than a curse.
