For this assignment, I will examine Brittany Spears choice of driving around with her children without having them properly secured in child seats. She also chose to continue this behavior after being ordered hby the court to comply with the law on this matter. I can state her reasons for doing so without agreeing with them. I would say that she chose to do this on her subconscious psychoanalytic motivation of protecting her children.

On the surface, this would contradict her actions, since driving without a child seat is endangerment. However, When examining the circumstances leading to the offenses, it comes out that the paparazzi surrounded her and her children were in possible danger. She had full knowledge both consciously and preconsciously that her children should be properly secured in the vehicle, but she chose to remove them from the circumstances quickly without taking that precaution, as she deemed their immeadiate safety to be threatened.
Judging the situation from a humanistic standpoint she was not acting to her highest potential. This meant that she was not acting as a fully functioning person. This resulted through her being denied unconditional postive regard from her friends, family, and the public. She had been in the public limelight for most of her life. Her very worst moments were made availiable for the world to see. She has gained a body of detractors who wish to her perpetuate the image of her. This means that she feels threatened by the paparazzi and the press in general.
From a diversity standpoint, Brittany’s implicit motivated outstripped her abtributed motivation. It would have been expected that she stop the vechile and secure her children properly. In this case, her matemal concern for their immeadiately safety orverrode that more normal response. She made the choice to protect them now instead of thinking of the larger scope of consequences. This decision put them at the greater overall risk than may have occurred if she had taken the time to secure them properly in the beginning.
