by 1500 B.C Mohenjo-Daro, Harappa and many of the villages thought out the Indus River Valley had been mysteriously abandoned. Historians are not certain why this happened. Did overpowering floods wash away whole villages? Did the soil lose its fertility and make impossible to farm? Did famine and drought cause the people of the valley to flee into other regions?
