The Bible reveals that this “Babyloniansystem” of government is owned, designed and directedby Satan the Devil. In the “temptation of Jesus” accountin Luke 4, Satan tells Jesus:

“…I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority overthem – BECAUSE THEY ARE MINE TO GIVE TO ANYONE IPLEASE. I will give it all to you if you will bowdown and worship me.” (Luke 4:6-7 NLT)

Daniel saw in vision and refers to Babylon and the succeedingworld-ruling empires of man as “BEASTS! “[see Daniel’s chapter 7] Man’s governments are “beastly”in the eyes of God.

So, in the language of Bible prophecy… Babylon represents”MAN’S GOVERNMENT”…”organized, systematicevil” on the earth among the nations, that”worship the god of this world.”

“…This Beast looked like a leopard, but it had bear’s feet and alion’s mouth [see Daniel’s description in his chapter 7:3-6]! Andthe Dragon [Satan; see Rev.12:9] gave him his own power and throneand great authority… All the worldmarveled at this miracle and followed theBeast in awe. They WORSHIPED THE DRAGONfor giving the Beast such power, and THEYWORSHIPED THE BEAST…” (Rev.13:2-3NLT).

Babylon is the “original” government system of man thatGod’s “gospel” [good news message] says that it is goingto destroy and replace with His Kingdom on earth.”…The Kingdom of God is near! Turn fromyour sins and believe THIS GOOD NEWS! “(Mark 1:15 NLT)

John saw in his vision of the future [in the days just ahead of us]THE FALL OF THIS BABYLONIAN SYSTEM IN THE WORLD… and describes itin Revelation 18.

“…He gave a mighty shout, ‘Babylon is fallen – that great city isfallen!…” (verse 2). This is the final collapse and destructionof man’s governments on earth.

Which is then followed by chapter 19: the prophecy of Jesus’ returnto earth with His angelic army, to defeat the “BEAST” and hisreligious henchman, the False Prophet:

“And the Beast was captured, and with him the False Prophet who didmighty miracles on behalf of the Beast [see chapter 13] – miraclesthat deceived all who had accepted the mark of the Beast and whoworshiped his statue. Both the Beast and his False Prophet werethrown alive into the Lake of Fire that burns with sulfur. Theirentire army was killed by the sharp Sword that came out of themouth of the One riding the white horse. And all the vultures ofthe sky gorged themselves on the dead bodies.” (Rev.19:20-21NLT)

So, Babylon represents [in Bibleprophecy] the summation of”MAN’S ERRANT RULE ON THE EARTH” thatGod’s Kingdom is coming to destroy and replace. It’s THE MESSAGE OFTHE BIBLE. The “Good News” [gospel] message that JesusChrist and all of His servants since Abel preached and died for.

“…a large number of people came to Paul’s house. Hetold them about the KINGDOM OF GOD and taught themabout Jesus from the Scriptures – from the five booksof Moses and the books of the Prophets. He beganlecturing in the morning and went on into the evening.” (Acts 28:23NLT)

“For the next two years, Paul lived inhis own rented house. He welcomed all who visitedhim, PROCLAIMING THE KINGDOM OF GOD withall boldness and teaching about the LORD Jesus Christ[the KING of that coming Kingdom]. And no one tried to stop him.”(Acts 28:30-31 NLT)

Babylon represents the TARGET of God’s comingKingdom!

“But you, O heaven, rejoice over herfate. And you also rejoice,O holy people of God and apostles andprophets! For at last God has Judged her on yourbehalf… ‘Babylon, the great city, will be thrown down asviolently as I have thrown away this stone, and SHEWILL DISAPPEAR FOREVER… She was the one whoslaughtered God’s people ALL OVER THE WORLD.'” (Rev.18:20-24NLT)

The prophetic destruction of Babylon…the removal of man’s errant government rule all over the world[along with the removal of the god who owns them – seeRev.20:1-3]… represents the GOOD NEWS of theBible.
