In the western worldlaws are considered fair. We have trials where we can confess ourinnocence and the opportunity to prove it. The punishment for beingconvicted isn’t as harsh as it was in Babylon, because most of thewestern world doesn’t execute its criminals. In Babylon it wouldseem that they do. In the Middle East I would imagine that the lawsare very much the same. Women treated like property, and greaterpunishment for even the smallest infractions. In ancient timespeople were interested in basically slaves and so forth like theChinese in some instant.
