What Phoenician cultural practices were not adopted by other cultures of the time period

Phoenicia was anancient civilization centered in the north of ancient Canaan, withits heartland along the coastal plains of what is now Lebanon. Theywere the major sea-traders of the Mediterranean, and they wenteverywhere. When the Phoenicians began using the alphabet as asimple and easy way to keep track of their trades, it was exposedto everyone. Also they show the other countries that ships couldtravel around the globe trading important commodities. That was notpracticed by other culture of the time who just raised stock andtraded with those animals.
