Technically, the earth is coming out of a “mini” ice-age which is responsible for what is being called $global warming$. Historically, the earth has been considerably warmer than it is now with plants even growing at the polar caps. Many would have you believe that the “normal” condition of the earth is what we have experienced in the not-too-distant past, and that we are facing a disaster. In reality, that is not the case, but those claims certainly sell newspapers.Global warming conspiracies are the “catastrophe du jour”. Not long ago we were all told that the earth was going into another full-scale ice-age.
