Money is the main thing Tourists help with. When tourists visit they need; food, tour guides, food- restaurants, somewhere to stay etc. all of these need people to work for them so the more tourists, the more jobs being handed out and the wealthy the city gets. also if Rome builds a good reputation for tourists then more people will want to come and the more popular it will be.
