Primitive humans most certainly drank the blood of animals as partof their food supply. It is unclear if there was any widespreadculture that celebrated tribal victories by drinking the blood oftheir dead foes. But it is seen (as is cannibalism) in severalrelatively recent Stone Age cultures.
