We know that she poisoned her brother/husband Ptolemy XIV, and had Marc Antony kill her sister Arsenoe because she believed that they were after her throne. We also know that she experimented on prisoners of war and slaves, to see how effective and painless poisons were. After the defeat at Actium she returned to Egypt and put to death all her political enemies that she could find to avoid revolution.
