As Pharaoh you were expected to lead your troops so you could die in battle or from wounds received whilst fighting. There were no antibiotics in those days so a wound may well turn septic leading to septicaemia then blood poisoning and death.
Politics was rough and ready. Political assassination was another way in which a Pharaoh could have died. A stabbing or poisoning.
Some died from illness, accidents and from old age in their beds. Ramses II reigned for 67 years. He died well into his nineties.
