The Pax Romana brought several benefits to the people of theempire. The first of which was that there was no major wars. Theempire was relatively peaceful. Because of this trade and commerceflourished bring prosperity to the empire in general and to Rome inparticular. This prosperity enabled all people in the empire toraise their standard of living. Travel was relatively safe. Theroads were good. People were able to access the main educationalcenters of the empire such as Greece and Alexandria without fear ofpirates or too many dangerous “highway incidents.”
