The Egyptians never developed an alphabet – this is a deliberate falsification on the part of certain misleading American Internet sites. These were sometimes used to spell out foreign words and names (such as Cleopatra, Ptolemy and autocrator).

This does not mean that the ancient Egyptians ever used an alphabet – they did not. Those web pages that give fake alphabets in hieroglyphs are simply fooling gullible people. They include signs for a, e, i o and u which are nothing to do with ancient Egypt or hieroglyphs, since hieroglyphs did not write any vowel sounds.

It is therefore impossible to “match Egyptian alphabet hieroglyphs in English”.
