Why hanging garden of India is called as hanging garden

it was to believed that the Goddess of love made it and since she was in heaven the said she just hung it from the gates of heaven. or It is believed that during the British rule in India , the place was highly contaminated because of the dead bodies lying out in the open (a last ceremony performed by Parsi people) .
