Historians are arguing over the date of the Bronze age in China because of various factors and the knowledge of iron smelting found in Chinese literature dating back to the 6th century BC.
Also causing trouble is the thought that bronze technology could have been imported from Mesopotamia, rather than discovered independently in China.
So taking all that in to consideration the start of the Bronze Age in China is put somewhere around 3000BC to 2700BC.
Although many Historians would put those dates even lower, some as low as 2000BC.
