Ancient Egypt heavily relied on Farming which is where the nile comes in as it flooded once a year (Inundation) This laid parts of the land with silt which made the ground fertile enough for crops. Without these crops from the nile ancient egypt wouldnt have survived half the amount of years it did. (They lasted 3000 years).

The Egyptians had their farming planned out:
June to September was for the inundation
October to February was for ploughing and planting of seeds ( They used steel tipped ploughs pulled by Oxen)
March to May was for Harvesting and getting ready for the inundations again.

The Nile was consider a god in Ancient Egypt. They sometimes did sacrifices to The Nile.

Times when the Nile was running low on water caused much devastatsion in egypt even the weathly threated.
