How did humans live during the ice age

During cold spells in the last glaciation people in northern areas would have moved further south. In Europe various areas were used such as northern Spain, the Balkans and the Black Sea. Others, in parts of south-east Asia and Australasia would have found it much easier. As it is thought by most that the Americas were populated only during the later part of the last glaciation, they would have followed game animals to the south.
