There are two ways to say hello in Ancient Greek depending on how many people you are greeting.
The Ancient Greek word for saying hello to one person is pronounced ki-re (the ‘i’ is long, and the ‘e’ is short).
The Ancient Greek word for saying hello to two or more people is pronounced ‘ki-re-te’ (the ‘i’ is long and the ‘e’s are short).
