Performance Appraisal
The performance evaluation is designed to provide me with the feedback on my performance for the year. There are three steps: Individual Goals, Success Factors, and a Developmental Plan. All three steps with helps evaluate an employee’s performance and progress on a regular basis. By having a “list” of what the company needs and expects from you is a great tool to make sure for yourself and the company you are achieving the goals. Referencing the company goals and your specific departmental goals can assist you in setting your own individual goals. When developing your individual goals, you should always keep in mind how they might positively impact the Company and Departmental Goals.
Organizations commonly use many valid and reliable performance appraisal methods. Different methods provide different types of information (Youssef, C. 2012). Our company has four goals that can impact the Company goals in a positive manner. The four goals are: be a recognized leader in providing technological tools by continuing to utilize technology to improve service/lower costs, continue to improve our collection and analysis of data to improve our product offerings and the management of each of our processes, be recognized as a transparent, easy to understand company by all our constituents by improving the quality and timeliness of our corporate communications both internally and externally, and last develop a sales culture focused on our customers (BristolWest 2010). There are steps that my manager uses to evaluate us for our performances. There are five individual goals, seven success factors, and a developmental plan.
