Various time The Chinese speak various dialects: Prior to Three Kingdoms they were speaking Hokkien in Central Plain, the Language thus being assimilated to Fujian Province with the waves of migrations. Hakka was spoken mostly by the Xiong Nu, Chinese from the northern borders that were later assimilated again during the southern migration from the northern plain.
